Police investigating gun theft in Fort Chipewyan

Police are searching for clues following the theft of two firearms from a vehicle parked in front of a Fort Chipewyan home on May. 31.

According to an RCMP press release the suspect(s) used tools located in the victims shed to cut the barrel off of one firearm, and the stocks off both.

The guns are believed to be a “Mossberg” .410 gauge shotgun the other is supposedly an older single shot “Cooey” .22 calibre rifle, its barrel has been cut off.
