Residents who borrowed printed materials from The Wood Buffalo Regional Library prior to May third do not need to return them.

The library is instead asking residents to add them to their own collection, printed material includes: hard cover books, paperbacks and magazines.

All inter-library loans (items on loan from other libraries) and audio visual materials like, movies, CD’s, video games and audio books do still need to be returned. Extended use fees will be waived until August 31st.

For residents who have lost their homes in the fire and therefore lost items belonging to the library, you will not be held responsible for replacement costs.

The library reopens for regular business hours on July 4th at 9 a.m.

Mon-Fri: 9am to 9pm
Sat: 9am to 5pm
Sun: 12pm to 5pm

Summer programs will be starting on July 18th
