20VIC Management Inc. and Halifax Shopping Centre present $50,000 cheque to the Red Cross

20VIC Management Inc. as well as many other sponsors from the East Coast and across the country have donated $50,000 to the Red Cross.

Blaise Morrison heard of the devastation from the wildfire back in Halifax, Nova Scotia and knew that he wanted to help.

“It’s just the right thing to do, to help everybody, it’s that simple. We benefit from Alberta and we hope this money will benefit a lot of families here in Alberta,” said Morrison.

Morrison works for 20VIC Management Inc. he rounded up quite a few corporate sponsors including the Halifax shopping centre.

All the money came from donations from the corporate sponsors and the amount they donated varied, from $250 to $10,000.

“I am glad I hand delivered the cheque, instead of sending it in the mail… So I could really feel it myself,” Said Morrison.

The fund raiser was hosted with the theme “Two cities, one heart” with the intention of connecting East Coast support with Alberta disaster relief and the many affected by the wildfire.
