Calgary police have taken one man into custody in connection with the Amber Alert for Taliyah Leigh Marsman.

Investigators believe he may have been involved in the five-year-old’s disappearance.

The name of the man in custody is not being made public.

CCTV images of a dark gray sedan seen driving in the area around the time of Taliyah’s disappearance have also been released:

Investigators say additional information also has them searching a rural area east of Chestermere.

Taliyah’s mother Sara Baillie was found dead 8:30 p.m. Monday at her house on Panamount Blvd. N.W. by police, after she didn’t show up for work and friends became concerned.

The Amber Alert for Taliyah is still active.

The little girl is described as a mixed-race female with a slim build, brown curly hair and blue eyes.

Anyone who believes they have seen Taliyah is asked to contact 911 immediately.

Police are expected to provide an update on the case Thursday, but a time has not been set.
