The wildfire danger in the Fort McMurray area has been reduced to low by Alberta Agriculture and Forestry following some rain over the last few days, although there are still some pockets that will remain classified as moderate.
The Horse River Wildfire is classified as under control, crews are constantly scanning for hot spots and attacking them as they are identified. It’s estimated at 589,552 hectares in size including the portion within Saskatchewan.
