Tickets and day passes are now available for the 2016 Baseball Canada Cup which takes place next month at the Shell Place ball diamond and at Ross Hennigar Park in Thickwood.
The 2016 Baseball Canada Cup Organizing Committee is a partnership between the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo (RRC) and the Fort McMurray Minor Baseball Association (FMMBA). Since 1989, the Baseball Canada Cup has attracted some of the best baseball talent from across the country.
The 2016 Baseball Canada Cup will see ten teams of under-17 baseball players visit Fort McMurray to participate in the event. The national tournament serves to assist in the selection of Junior National Team players for future training camps and the National Team for the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup, as well as providing an opportunity for scouts to evaluate future potential college and professional baseball draft picks.
“We are delighted to announce the release of single game passes and day passes at this time,” said Jodie Cooper, Co-Chair of the 2016 Baseball Canada Cup Organizing Committee and Director of Sport and Recreation for the RRC. “In addition to full tournament passes, we also have available General Admission and VIP Day Passes, Single Game Passes and Family Night Passes. We also have passes available specifically for the final tournament games in which the Gold, Silver and Bronze teams will be determined.”

General Admission and VIP Day Passes, Single Game Passes, Family Night Passes and Passes for the Bronze and Gold Medal Games will be available for purchase beginning on Friday, July 22 at 5:00pm online at oneREC.ca/events and at the Shell Place Box Office at MacDonald Island Park.
