Work to upgrade the parking lot at MacDonald Island Park begins Monday according to the Regional Recreation Corporation.
The RRC says the work will include additional parking spaces, but it’s asking residents to be cautious with the increased activity.
“We would ask members of the community to please use increased caution, obey all posted signs and reduce their speed in the parking lot as this work continues,” said Annette Antoniak, Chief Executive Officer, RRC. “We believe the completed parking lot project will improve the experience for our visitors and guests, and we would like to thank our community in advance for their patience and understanding as the work takes place this summer.”
The work will add about 450 parking spaces to the Island and is expected to be complete by fall.
