Residents are being asked to restrict their travel in around town because of significant rainfall in the region that has lead to localized flooding in Gregoire and forced the closure of some roads.
Gregoire Drive remains closed while MacKenzie Boulevard has reopened following closures earlier this morning.

There is significant flooding on Grandview Crescent and the road is blocked off while emergency services and municipal crews work to clear the water.

Anyone who owns a property that has been susceptible to basement flooding in the past should ensure any valuables or personal property are stored in a safe place.
Because of the heavy rainfall and flooding, the Municipality has activated the Regional Emergency Operations Centre (REOC).

At this time core staff from Underground Services, Public Operations and Emergency Services are all working together at REOC to monitor the situation on a continual basis.
Crews are dealing with the flooding and working on restoring traffic signals.
Should residents have instances of flooding in or around their property, they are encouraged to contact the PULSE Line at 780-743-7000.

Brenda Toutant posted video of people using a boat to get around their street, Grey Crescent.
She continued to post updates through the morning of crews pumping the storm water pipes and clearing out some of the water, telling MyMcMurray the water is receding slowly with the help from the pump trucks and the fact the rain had finally stopped by 2:00 Sunday afternoon.
Flooding has also been reported in the Ross Haven Drive and Thicket Drive areas of Thickwood with some people posting photos of completely flooded basements.
