Housing sales in Fort McMurray were up 48 per cent in July compared to the same month last year, according to the Fort McMurray REALTORS® who called the rise “a significant increase”.
The number of new listings increased to 179 in July but the total number of listings on the market is still down from last year by 26 per cent.
Overall prices have stayed fairly stable in most types of units, the REALTORS® said in a release Friday.
The average sale price has increased from June, REALTORS® said, mostly because there have been more sales over $700,000, but said the average sale price is still down about 11 per cent compared to the same time last year.
