Shawn Giles, 30, of Fort McMurray has been charged with two counts of sexual assault and one of sexual interference in connection with an offence RCMP say is alleged to have happened at Giles’ Timberlea home which also operates as a day home.
RCMP said the charges relate to the sexual assault of a person under the age of 16.
The day home itself is not implicated in the charges.
Giles has been released with conditions including having no contact with the victim and no contact with any unrelated person under the age of 14 unless the person is in the presence of an adult at least 25 years of age.
RCMP said the investigation is ongoing and they’re asking anyone who has information about the assaults to contact Wood Buffalo RCMP at 780-788-4000.
