Mac Island fall programming begins September 26

Fall programming at MacDonald Island will officially launch starting on September 26 with a full range of classes for children, youth and adults, according to the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo (RRC).

You can now look at all of the available fall programs online at macdonaldisland.ca.

Online registration for all fall programs at MacDonald Island Park will begin next Wednesday, September 7 at macdonaldisland.ca/programs.

For ‘ONE Pass’ holders, registration can begin online one day early, beginning next Tuesday, September 6.

In-person registration will begin next Thursday, September 8 at Guest Services at the Suncor Community Leisure Centre.

“We are very pleased to offer a full slate of fall programming this year,” said Annette Antoniak, Chief Executive Officer of the RRC. “Along with our traditional programs, this fall also sees the addition of programming in our new High Performance Training Centre located in Shell Place. Our team is always seeking to bring new opportunities to the community, and we are delighted to welcome fall 2016 with additional options for our members and users to enjoy.”

The Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo offers programs in the following areas, among others:

  • Red Cross swimming lessons
  • Aquatics, including Lifesaving
  • Fitness, including new High Performance classes
  • Sport Services
  • Mi Dance
  • Children’s and Preschool
  • Climbing
