The annual festival of local art and culture, Alberta Culture Days, is fast approaching, offering a chance to celebrate all things arts, culture, music and film during Alberta Culture Days.

The festival runs here in Wood Buffalo from Wednesday, Sept. 28 until Sunday, Oct. 2. Local artists and cultural groups have come together to produce a wide variety of events and activities such as art workshops, musical performances and film screenings.

“Art in its many forms is something that connects us all and builds a sense of community,” said Theresa Jolliffe, Community Strategies Coordinator. “Alberta Culture Days is a wonderful opportunity for residents to experience our region’s diversity and creative spirit.”

Alberta Culture Days is a province-wide initiative that has been celebrated in Wood Buffalo since 2009. It began as a one-day event that has grown into a multi-day showcase of culture, heritage and artistic creativity.
