CHANHASSEN, Minn. – Prince’s handwritten notes still sit out in Studio A where he recorded some of his greatest hits. The studio is filled with keyboards and guitars.
Those are some of the highlights visitors will see when Paisley Park opens for public tours Thursday. It’s where Prince lived, and it’s where he died of an accidental painkiller overdose in April.
The museum in a Minneapolis suburb will open under a temporary permit on Thursday and for two more days in October. Daily tours can’t happen until officials work out concerns about public safety and traffic.
Prince’s older sister, Norrine Nelson, tells NBC’s “Today” show (http://on.today.com/2dSnhQX ) that her brother’s energy and spirit can be felt in the museum.
His younger sister, Tyka (TIGH’-kah) Nelson, says she hopes visitors have a very personal experience.
