Another “Here for You” information sessionĀ is being held about Waterways.

October 13th, down at Shell Place from 4-8 p.m. residents will be able to ask questions of members of the Wood Buffalo Recovery Committee (WBRC), subject matter experts and various stakeholders.

There will be two identical presentations about the recovery of Waterways, one at 4:30 p.m. and the other at 6 p.m.

If you can’t attend in-person, both of the presentations will be live streamed on the RMWB Facebook page.

The presentation will consist of an explanation of the flood hazard area, what repealing the flood proofing bylaw of the land use bylaw means and important information on the legal waiver for flood hazard area development.

The RMWB will also have the survey results about how the residents of Waterways would like their neighbourhood to be rebuilt.

Residents who indicated they would consider moving from the Flood Hazard Area will be asked to submit their name, address and contact number at the in-person session, or by calling the Pulseline 780-743-7000 starting October 13, 2016.

Further research, including an appraisal of the value of the lot, will be conducted in order to determine feasibility.
