Suncor in partnership with Women Building Futures (WBF) will be holding an information session on the Heavy Equipment Operator Program.
On November 5th, from noon to 2 p.m. women can drop in to the Casman Centre Amphitheatre to learn about the tuition paid program.
The program starts in March of 2017, the application deadline is November 21st.
You will start the training at WBF in Edmonton and then will come to Fort McMurray and “earn while you learn” through the co-op program.
The program prepares women to be considered for hire by Suncor as Heavy Equipment Operators for the Fort Hills mining project.
This is a camp-based program opportunity. Applicants are required to live within 150 kilometres of the airport travel hubs of Edmonton, Calgary or Kelowna.
Residents of Fort McMurray will be bussed to site.
