Finance Minister Joe Ceci goes before the microphones Monday, with details on how the province is weathering the oil downturn.
Ceci will deliver the 2016-2017 Second Quarter Fiscal Update and Economic Statement.
Back in August, Ceci projected the province would carry a $10.9-billion deficit this fiscal year, which was half-a-billion dollars higher than forecasted in April.
He also projected it would take eight years to return to balanced books.
The news conference takes place at 1 p.m. at the Alberta Legislature in Edmonton.
