The Fort McMurray Junior Barons are back in action this weekend both on the road and on home ice.

The Bantam AA Barons, who sit in first place with a 10-4 record, will play host to the Peace River Sabres, who sit in fifth place with a 2-11-2 record.

The Barons will welcome the Sabres to the Frank Lacroix Arena Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The two teams will match up again on Sunday morning at 8:00.

Max McCoy has been dominant this season, recording 27 points in his 14 games. That puts him in a tie for the league lead in points with four other players.

In net, Gabe Gratton has compiled a 7-1 record for the Barons with a 3.13 G.A.A.

The Midget AA Barons have not had the same success as the Bantam Barons this season, but they will look to turn that around on the road this weekend.

On Saturday, they will take on the Leduc Roughnecks, who are currently fourth in the Besa Division with a 4-6-2 record.

On Sunday, they will continue on the road and take on the third-place Camrose Vikings, who play in the Rural North Division and have a 6-4-0 record.

The Midget Barons are led by Patrick Polistena who has put a nice season together recording 15 points so far, nine of which are goals. Ryan Mercer and Brody Stanley are close behind him with 11 points apiece.

The Midget AA Barons will next be on home ice next weekend when they host the Lakeland Panthers.
