RMWB: Be ready for Winter Maintenance Zones in the near future

Last Updated Dec 2, 2016 at 3:43 pm MDT

While the Winter Maintenance Zones will continue to be relaxed through Monday, Dec. 5, despite the fact snow is in the forecast in the coming days, the RMWB is asking residents to prepare for on-street parking restrictions as the zones may be activated next week.

Winter Maintenance Zones have been relaxed on a day-to-day basis since mid-October because there hasn’t been a need for winter maintenance.

When the zones are activated you’ll be notified using the Municipal website: RMWB.ca, electronic street signage, and social media.

On-street parking restrictions will come back into effect when the zones are reactivated.

The Municipality said its priority is to inform residents about the program for snow and ice control and to facilitate on-street parking restriction, so that residents can avoid being ticketed or towed.

You can identify your Zone by checking the signage along your residential street, by reviewing the mapping provided on the Municipal website, or by using the Find Your Zone tool at rmwb.ca/snowplow.

Find up-to-date information and FAQs about on-street parking restrictions, priority routes, alternative parking options and more at rmwb.ca/snowplow.
