It’s been two years, but the Fort McMurray Ravens spring football team will be back in our community.

The Ravens will give players who play football in high school the chance to continue playing football through the spring and to compete against strong competition from Edmonton.

“The Ravens will give the chance for every kid in the city to play on one team” said Dylan Elias president of the Fort McMurray Ravens “it’s an opportunity to showcase the best talent in our city at the provincial level, It’s like an All-Star team. “The kids will get to see different coaching styles from the other teams and hopefully learn some new technique.”

The tryouts for the Fort McMurray Ravens will begin in early February of 2017 and the season is slated to begin in mid-March although a schedule has not been released as of today.

If you are interested in trying out for the Ravens, you are required to be in or between the grades of nine to eleven.

“We haven’t played at this level before, so it should be very exciting for the coaching staff and all of our players” said Elias

There are a few ways to sign up to play for the Ravens including Ravens Football Signup which also allows you to make your $300.00 payment at a later date.

Additionally, you can email Dylan Elias at director@northernelitefootball.ca.
