FireSmart work is ongoing in the Birchwood Trails.
Residents must avoid marked areas of the trails where active work is ongoing.
Caution signs have been posted in areas that are unsafe for entry because logging, mulching and other active work with machinery is taking place.
With favourable weather conditions crews have started controlled burns for debris removal, these burns will be continuously monitored to minimize smoke for safety.
Signage will be posted in work areas to alert residents of potential smoke, so they may be reassured there is no fire or safety concerns to report.
Work is expected to be complete by mid March.
