Father Mercredi gym set up to pack hampers for Santas Anonymous Campaign

With the holiday season fully in swing and over 900 families in need including over 1500 children and 200 seniors, residents are needed to volunteer their time to help Santas Anonymous pack and assemble the hampers that will be delivered on Friday, December 16.

This past weekend, the annual Miracle Marathon took place at the Save On Foods in Thickwood and Timberlea and although donations were down from previous years, Santas Anonymous is ready to help those in need once again.

Over 300 more hampers then last year will be packed this year which has forced Santas Anonymous to run daytime “packing” sessions beginning Monday, December 12.

The sessions will run daily until Thursday, December 15 and will feature two “packing” sessions beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with an additional session being held from 12:30 p.m. until 3:00.

The one exception will be on Thursday when only the morning session will happen as the hampers are set to be distributed to families in need on Friday.

Santa’s Anonymous is inviting you and your friends to join the hamper packing sessions.

All groups will receive a tutorial before hamper packing.

If you would like to sign-up and help pack the hampers, you can visit Hamper Fill Sign-Up.

Additionally, Santa’s Anonymous is still looking for volunteers to help deliver the hampers on Friday, December 16 all day. For more information or to sign-up, you can call Jo-Ann at Father Mercredi School.
