Toys for Tickets raised about $1,880 in toys for families in need this holiday season.
From December 1st to the 15th if you received a parking ticket you were able to pay the infraction with a toy donation of greater or equal value to the ticket.
During the Toys for Tickets program period, 248 timed parking and Winter Maintenance Zone infractions issued.
Fourteen people participated in the program and additionally, one generous resident donated approximately $200 in toys from money raised at a bake sale.
All toys have be donated to the Fort McMurray Salvation Army, who will distribute them to local families in need through their Adopt-A-Family program.
