The Social Recovery Task Force is already looking ahead to the anniversary of the wildfire.

They have formed a subcommittee to properly plan the event and are seeking input from the social profit sector.

Social profit organization can fill out this survey before February 1st so the committee can determine who wishes to participate.

“As a collaboration, we want to recognize and celebrate how we have all stood together as a resilient community this past year to recover and build back better.” said Chantal Beaver, Executive Director of the Hub Family Resource Centre and Chair of the Social Recovery Task Force.  “Further to that, we want to ensure that the social sector is providing appropriate support to the residents of the RMWB, focusing particularly on emergency preparedness.”

The Social Recovery Task force is formed of representatives from local social profits, non-governmental organizations, related government agencies and the municipality.
