Girls Inc. names 10th nominee for Women of Inspiration series

Kristi Pinkney Hines is Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta’s 10th woman of inspiration nominee.

The Women of Inspiration series is a partnership between Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta and Syncrude to recognize women throughout the Wood Buffalo region.

Hines was born in Fort McMurray and is a trained nurse but took her profession to the next level when she became a business owner and operator.

Her business Hines Health Services, provides occupational health services to different corporation in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB).

A passion for Hines is education and her business has partnered with Keyano College and the University of Alberta Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing, to mentor, teach and evaluate the 3rd year nursing students through a practicum.

Hines is committed to improving the quality of life for residents in the RMWB.

She works with Dr. Vitug, director of clinical care at Hines Health Services, and the Brain Injury Network to provide specialized care to outpatient community members that would otherwise not have access in Fort McMurray and would have to travel to Edmonton or Calgary.

Hines and 11 other women will be honoured at the Women of Inspiration Celebration on June 10, 2017.
