This year’s March Mullet Campaign raised $6,110.42 for the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).

The idea behind the campaign is to initiate an honest conversation about mental health and the mullet is to help breakdown the stigma associated with mental illness.

Eighteen individuals rocked mullets throughout the month of March to highlight the fact that mental health affects everyone.

Studies show one in five Albertans are impacted by a mental illness at some point in their life and many do not seek support.

The money raised will stay in the RMWB to help meet the mental health needs of the community.
