Fort McMurray will finally be getting their new movie theatre.
In a press release The Centron Group announced that phase one of the 250,000 square foot retail centre in Eagle Ridge has begun.
“In addition to many familiar restaurants and services, the Landmark Cinema, is long awaited and welcome to Fort McMurray,” stated the press release. “It will provide movie-goers with the best experience the cinema world has to offer.”
The new theatre will be an eight screen complex with over 900 powered recliner seats, which will provide each guest with a significant amount of personal space and a distraction free movie experience.
The screens will be over 25 feet tall and span wall to wall while the theatre will feature the latest in digital projection and sound and an expanded concession.
Plans for Landmark Cinema 6, which is currently downtown, will not be determined until the opening of the new one in Eagle Ridge.
