Positions open to become a part of the Wood Buffalo Health Advisory Council

Alberta Health Services is inviting you to apply to become a part of the Wood Buffalo Health Advisory Council.

Nine positions are open on the council, all of which are three-year terms and are volunteer positions.

If you are interested in applying, some requirements are required including the following:

  • An interest in health issues
  • Live within the region
  • You understand different points of view
  • Passionate about our community
  • You must also be 18 years of age and older.

As a member of the Wood Buffalo Health Advisory Council, you will meet with AHS leadership four to five times a year.

“Health advisory council volunteers are an important component of how AHS works with communities,” Said Colleen Turner, Vice President, Community Engagement, and Communications. “They play an important role in connecting us to people across Alberta, and help us understand the needs of individual communities.”

Alberta Health Services plans and delivers health supports and services to more than four million adults and children living in our province.
