The National Energy Board (NEB) is looking to hear from Indigenous people and the public about the Energy East and other Eastern Mainline projects.

A team of four Board Members, who are separate from the Hearing Panel, hope to interact with over 200 Indigenous groups and gather comments through an online survey about how they may be impacted by the projects.

In a press release the NEB wrote that from these discussions one of the key aspects they hope to identify will be the best way to collect oral traditional evidence.

Findings from the engagement sessions will be brought forward to the Hearing Panel for consideration as they move ahead with design of the Energy East and Eastern Mainline hearing process.

The engagement sessions and online survey will close July 15, 2017.
