The second annual Heavy North Canstruction Design and Build competition brought in over 3,200 cans of food for the Wood Buffalo Food Bank.
Two teams, Heavy North and Fort McMurray Hotel Group, had 12 hours to design and build sculptures made solely from canned goods.
The theme this year was Canada 150, all sculptures had to use Canada as their source of their inspiration.
Heavy North won for Best Meal, Best Use of Labels, People’s Choice and Most Cans.
Fort McMurray Hotel Group won for Structural Ingenuity and Original Design.
Both teams will be entered into the international competition.
