Water levels near the Pearson Lake turnoff on the Fort Chipeywan Winter Road remain high.
On July 7, 2017 the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB) issued a warning that there was a partial culvert wash out and that the route was expected to not be passable in the coming days.
An update on July 11, 2017 from the RMWB said that residents should use at their own risk.
Alberta Environment and Parks is looking for a detour route.
