On Mon. Sept. 4 the Fort McMurray Fire Department (FMFD) responded to a house fire on 157 Paris Crescent around 11:53 a.m.
“We had six pieces of equipment and 15 firefighters,” said Brad Grainger, deputy chief of operations.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire around 1:38 p.m. after utilizing a crane to pour water directly on top of the house.
The house was a complete lost and both homes directly next door had siding damaged from the heat.
All of the residents of the households were evacuated and emergency services ensured the safety of neighbours.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
