Police arrest suspected drug dealer, still searching for other

The Alberta Law Enforcement Resonse Team (ALERT) is looking for a suspect after a drug raid in Fort McMuray.

Mohamed Mehdi Assiani, 34, is wanted for his suspected role in a Fort McMurray drug trafficking operation.

He is wanted on charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, impersonation with intent, uttering a forged document, and obstruction.

ALERT alleges that Assiani and co-accused Jordan Molina-Samuels, were trafficking cocaine out of an apartment in the Gregoire neighbourhood.

RCMP, searched the apartment on Oct. 5, and seized more than 250 grams of cocaine, $7,500 cash proceeds of crime, various drug trafficking paraphernalia and two vehicles.

Molina-Samuels was arrested while leaving the residence.  He has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

Assiani also goes by the name alias “Alexandre Kouvrigin.”
