WBCF adds local knowledge to board of directors

The Wood Buffalo Community Foundation (WBCF) has appointed six more directors, bringing the board up to 12.

They are adding:

  • Nicole Bourque Bouchier, CEO and co-owner of the Bouchier Group
  • Doreen Cole, senior vice president, regional maintenance and reliability at Suncor
  • Glen Finnson, vice president of environment, health, safety and security at Syncrude
  • Corie Flett, a partner with Cooper and Company law firm
  • Peter Fortna, principal consultant at Willow Spring Strategic Solutions
  • Dr. Tom Lawley, retired medical director of health at Syncrude

 

WBCF Chair Maureen Cormier Jackson said in a press release, that these additional people add valuable local knowledge to the board.

“They will ensure we are collaborating with other funders and addressing the highest priority issues in the Wood Buffalo region as we work to fulfill our mission and mandate,” she added.

The WBCF is a registered charity that will enhance the quality of life throughout the region by providing grants to other community organizations.
