The Wood Buffalo Regional Library is taking over the organization of the Words in Motion program.

The annual literacy program, which was introduced in 2012 by the RMWB, promotes the writing, reading and sharing of poetry for all ages.

The program gives both new and existing writers in the region the chance to showcase their work with any form or language of poetry. If the poem is not in English, a translation must also be submitted with the original poem.

Everyone from students to professional writers are encouraged to submit their poetry until Feb. 17.

Community judges will select poems to be displayed in the WBRL, those selected will be invited to a celebration event at the library on May 9.

More information can be found on theĀ WBRL website.
