Volunteers needed for Syncrude Food Drive

Volunteers are still needed for the 25th annual Syncrude Food Drive in support of the Wood Buffalo Food Bank (WBFB).

This year the WBFB has set the goal of bringing in $350,000 in monetary donations and 80,000 pounds of food.

This event is vital to keeping the WBFB running as it accounts for 30 per cent of the annual food stocks and more than 30 per cent of the annual operating budget.

They have 110 spots left to fill for the three day food drive that runs from Friday, Dec. 1 till Sunday, Dec. 3 at all grocery store in Fort McMurray, including Walmart and Anzac Grocery.

Volunteers are needed to man the trucks at the grocery stores, hand out wish lists and collect donation as well as at the warehouse to unload trucks and sort food donations.
