New art exhibit will feature 13 local artists

The Beyond Colour exhibition from the Wood Buffalo Arts & Crafts Guild will be featured at the the Kirschner Family Community Art Gallery at MacDonald Island Park from Dec. 4,2017 till Feb. 1, 2018.

The exhibition will showcase the works of 13 artists, including Barbara Madden, Claire Antoine, Colleen Cameron, David Ball, Elisabeth Matte, Joyce Locke, Trevor Snook, Karen Dionne, Margaret Payne, Margie Cunningham, Sonia Burke Smith, Tammy Huggan and Vera Fustic.  The collection of works is from various experienced artists and is describes as a show packed with a range of creativity and energy.

“We are pleased to host this multi-artist exhibition to showcase a collection of works from these talented artists.” said Rachel Orser, Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo. “This exhibition allows the opportunity for us to bring together a wide range of experienced artists who each bring forth a combination of various skills, talent, backgrounds and techniques that we are excited to have on display for the community to enjoy.”

All community members are invited to attend the opening reception on December 7, at 7 p.m. at the Kirschner Family Community Art Gallery.
