Two facing drug charges after traffic stop

Two indiviuals are facing multiple drug related charges following a traffic stop.

A Wood Buffalo RCMP officer noticed drug paraphernalia in plain site during the province-wide check stop blitz on Saturday.

The RCMP seized 14 grams of suspected cocaine, 17 grams of suspected crack cocaine, cash and other drug related items.

Autumn Marcel, 19, and Douglas Thomson, 50, are facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

Thomson has been held in custody until his court appearance on Dec. 5.

Marcel’s first court appearance is on Dec. 17.
