RBC donates $100k to Keyano College

RBC donates $100,000 to Keyano's Healing and Wisdom Project, which will assist Indigenous communities earn and manage sustainable livelihoods.

RBC has donated $100,000 to Keyano College’s Healing and Wisdom Project.

The project will help with the creation of a community-based model to assist Indigenous communities earn and manage sustainable livelihoods.

Through financial management, employment training and personal supports, learners will build personal initiative, economic resiliency, and employment specific knowledge.

Tracy Edwards, President and CEO of Keyano College says the project will deliver real benefits within our communities

“We are extremely grateful for RBC’s support in this and are excited to begin collaborative development of programming surrounding financial management.”

Programs will be piloted at Keyano College’s community adult learning program site in Fort McKay, and rolled out to Community Adult Learning Program (CALP) sites in Gregoire Lake, Janvier, and Fort Chipewyan.

The college will work closely with each of these communities to promote the program and identify individuals in need of the program as well as liaise with community agencies and bring them together to create a network for collective social impact
