A new plan has been laid out to make the Wood Buffalo region a more inclusive community.
The Regional Advisory Committee on Inclusion, Diversity and Equality (RACIDE) presented a new Diversity Plan to council on Tuesday evening.
The new plan outlines priorities identified by residents, social profit agencies and businesses. It was put together with extensive public engagement beginning in 2015.
RACIDE will work with stakeholders and other community members to implement the plan from 2017-2022.
