The Wood Buffalo Victim Services Unit is looking for volunteer advocates for 2018.
The unit is an essential service to the community, offering 24/7 support for victims of crime and trauma in the region.
From the time of crisis and beyond the conclusion of the court process victim services staff and volunteers provide advocacy and referral services, allowing the victim to work towards healing.
Volunteer advocates are expected to commit to three 12-hour shifts a month and to attend monthly meetings.
