Updates for La Loche and Fort Chipewyan Winter Roads

The Fort Chipewyan Winter Road has an increased load limit, while the La Loche Winter Trail has a section of washout 12 kilometres east of Highway 881.

Crews have placed signage with high-visibility flagging tape in the area of the washout and will be mobilized Jan. 26 to complete repairs of the road.

The section east of the Christina River to the Saskatchewan border area has rough sections, reduce your speed and drive to conditions.

A load increase of 35,000kg has been made to the Fort Chipewyan Winter Road.

Obey all posted signage and watch for crews who continue to construct and perform maintenance.

Mulching will begin Jan. 26 from km 0 to km 11 from the North Gate in Fort Chipewyan.
