Budget workshops wrapped up Friday with an additional $525,000 reduction.

The proposed budget of $775 million, was already $29 million less than 2017.

Several of the cuts came from the Community Investment Program, including the Willow Lake Community Association and the Janvier Dene Wood Buffalo Community Association.

Mayor Scott and council also agreed to a $150,000 grant to go towards a memorial park for 15-year-old Emily Ryan, who passed away in a collision during the wildfire evacuation.

Residents will have another opportunity to speak to council about through a delegation process at the final meeting, which is anticipated for Feb. 27.
