The Wood Buffalo Food Bank (WBFB) has reported that it’s Community Art Project was vandalized with spray paint.

The mural, which was painted in the summer of 2017, was defaced between the evening of Mar. 2 and the morning of Mar. 6.

Local artist Liam Renner painted the mural as part of an initiative to showcase local talent, beautify the community, and illustrate the fight against food insecurity in the region.

Arianna Johnson, Executive Director of the Wood Buffalo Food Bank Association said they hope it can be fixed or repainted.

Police have been notified and anyone with information is asked to contact local RCMP right away.
