UPDATE: All lanes of HWY 63 now open

Highway 63 north bound will be reduced to one lane about 50 km south of town as crews continue to clean up contaminants from Monday's collision.

All lanes of Highway 63, about 50 kms south of town are now open after getting the okay from an Environment Protection Officer from Alberta Environment and Parks.

Portions of the highway have been closed since Mar. 19, after a semi truck collided with road graders causing an ammonia leak.

Crews could still be doing topsoil addition, sediment and erosion control, and monitoring measures.
