The World’s First Green Carnival is making its way back to Fort McMurray.

Council decided during budget deliberations not to fulfill Sustainival’s $125,000 ask.

Sustainival Executive Director, Odette Hutchings, said despite the lack of funding they are making it happen.

“Fort McMurray is where the place Sustainival really got its start and we know how much this event means to the community,” said Hutchings. “The community has been through a lot and we really, really wanted to be there.”

From June 14-17, you will be able to enjoy over 45 carnival attractions powered on green energy, carnival food, educational games and the Green Beast Eco Challenge.

There is no gate admission but fees will apply for the rides, games, food and beverages.
