Scott Germain is one of the five firefighters and he is inviting everyone to visit them and participate.

“We encourage everyone to come by, we have a boot hanging right in front of the Tim Hortons so they can ring the bell, put a donation in the boot and then we’ll hoist it up, if you have kids we’ll send down a goodie bag for them.”

There will also be events going on at East Village Pub this weekend with a family friendly pancake breakfast on Saturday, May 5 from 9 a.m. until noon with the fire fighters coming down from the roof at three p.m.
