Wood Buffalo RCMP arrested two males following a traffic stop on drug related charges. The police officers were on patrol in Gregoire on April 26 when they saw a vehicle fail to yield and then pulled it over.
During their investigation the officers seized over 100 grams of what they believe to be cocaine and crack cocaine and a few thousand dollars in cash.
As a result, both the driver, 23 -year-old Poppon Mpoza of Edmonton and the passenger, 28-year-old Mohammed Ahmed of Calgary, were arrested.
Mpoza is facing three drug possession charges along four traffic related charges and will remain in custody until his court appearance on May 22. Ahmed is facing three drug related charges and will also appear in court on May 22.
