McHappy Day raised $18,000 in our community.
The annual event happens every first Wednesday of May and raises money for the Northern Lights Health Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House Northern Alberta.
Each charity will receive $9,000.
For every Big Mac, Happy Meal and McCafe beverage sold, $1 is donated to the organizations.
Nationally, McHappy Day and the 10-cent Happy Meal Program helped raise $6.1 million for the Ronald McDonald House.
