Lieutenant Governor of Alberta visited École McTavish Junior High

Fort McMurray Public School District Superintendent Doug Nicholls told MyMcMurray how the visit impacted the students.

“You can certainly see the pride the students have in their school and that’s why many of our students are really looking forward to the move to the high school next year,” said Nicholls.

Last year the FMPSD announced that École McTavish will expand to be the first public high school in Timberlea.

The provincial government is funding the $27 million to $30 million project.
