Country 93.3 & 979 ROCK will be hosting the Community Music Showcase as part of this year’s Canada Day celebration events taking place at MacDonald Island Park on July 1, 2018.
The Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo (RRC), and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB) have put together a full line up of celebrations for the day.
The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. and shuttles will be available from MacDonald Island Park to and from the parade.
The Community Music Showcase will be on the Music Main Stage. The evening entertainment features a variety of popular local musical performers, including Midlife Crisis, Soul Speaker, Dan Tulk Band, and the final act of the evening, The Dungarees. Beer gardens and lawn games begin at 5 p.m. in the MacDonald Island Parking lot beside the Fox Den Lounge.
The party will finish off with a bang with the Syncrude Grand Finale Fireworks scheduled for 11:59 p.m.
